The Valley Rebuilt -- Part 5

She's standing in front of the "Merchant's Quarter" (so called for want of a better name at this point), which is where most shops will probably go. The roads are windier there. It might also end up just being residential area.


Below is the Mages' Guild as seen from the stage in front of the Pantheon Temple.







And finally, the front of Druisilia's Tea Shoppe. I wanted to take pictures of the beach (which is walkable) around the city, but the walkmesh wasn't cooperating.

The Valley Rebuilt - Part 4

So in the last two weeks (or however long its been since the last posts), I have been sprucing up the city areas and working out the kinks of the ambient NPCs. Yes, there shall be NPCs wandering about the streets of Beldin (using Uncle FB's NPC system from the Vault), for the sake of color.



The Flea Market is significantly larger and has more room to move around in. This picture is from early morning. The tower way off in the distance is the belltower, and behind it is the Temple of Tymora. The building in front which looks like the Fearthegn's Bar is the Fearthegn's Bar. Ignore the ivory staircase, its there for walkmesh purposes. . .


Behold, happy NPCs! They now gather in front of the Fearthegn's Bar for lunch and dinner and snacks. There …

The Valley Rebuilt - Part 3

And here we have the Gate District. Note that the build #1 theater is back, and Drusilia's Tea Shoppe has returned to its place over the "river" where it was in Beldin 1.


The Mage's Guild looks basically the same as it does now. I promise the theater in front of it will actually have stuff going on in it this time. . . not sure what yet, but there will be something! The arts shall thrive in Beldin yet!


The southern part of the district is taken up with shops, merchant's guilds, and homes. Or that's the idea, anyway. . .


The exterior shoreline looks all gravely because its not finished yet.




When the shoreline is done, it will probably look something like the stream-bank in the picture on the left.

The Valley Rebuilt - Part 2

Here, you can see the blue-roofed pantheon temple. Presumably, life gems would be sold in there for convience sake. Its the walmart of temples!


The brown smudge in the middle of the picture is where the great oak tree was before it died. If you were not aware of the great oak tree's demise, then take note now that the tree currently in the module is leafless. Taurus' monsters accidentally killed it.


The Fearthegn's Bar and the Adventurers' Guild are in their 'normal' places. The bay itself is larger, and so holds more ships. It occured to me that considering that shipping is important to Beldin, there should be some more. They just take up so much valuable room. . . 'tis annoying.

The Valley Rebuilt

The goal here is to post pictures of the continuing work on the rebuilding of the valley. Suggestions are welcome, since none of this is a finished 'baked' draft.


The Castle area is bigger in this version of Beldin. The castle itself is larger, and there are a number of houses which could be noble estates or the homes of wealthy merchants. The Temple of Tymora has been replaced by the Pantheon Temple in the center of town, and so has been moved here. The Temple of Torm looks much the same as it always has.


The tower to the north is partially used for defense, but the upper stories are inhabited by strange flying books of unknown intent. Or that is the plan right now.
